Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Register via the web portal at https://chatsubo.io/auth/register
Chatsubo currently operates in invite-only mode, so you'll need a valid invite code in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. If you don't have an invite code, contact staff to request one.

After connecting:
jack <username> <password>
or

Do I start with a character, or do I need to create one?
New accounts don't have characters automatically. After logging in, use the createchar command to start the character creation process. You'll choose your role, name, and customize your character through an interactive menu.
What's the tutorial?
The tutorial is a guided introduction to Chatsubo's basic mechanics and commands. New players start in a tutorial area that teaches: - Movement and navigation - Communication commands - Inventory management - Basic roleplay concepts - Combat basics
Use the tutorial command to start or continue from where you left off. Use hint in tutorial rooms for additional guidance.
Where do I go after the tutorial?
After completing the tutorial, you'll be at the Chatsubo Bar, the central hub of the game world. From there, you can:
- Explore Night City
- Talk to NPCs for quests
- Interact with other players
- Use the taxi system for fast travel
Character and Roleplay

See the Roles Documentation for detailed information.
Can I have multiple characters?
Currently, each account can have one active character. Multi-character support may be added in the future.
How do I change my character's description?
Use the describe command:
describe me = <your description>
Your description should fit the cyberpunk setting and give others a sense of your character's appearance and vibe.
What's the difference between IC and OOC?

OOC (Out-of-Character): Real-world communication. Use the ooc command for non-roleplay chat.
Important: Keep IC and OOC separate. Don't break character in roleplay areas, and don't use IC knowledge your character wouldn't have.
How do I roleplay?
See our detailed Roleplay Guidelines. Basic tips:
