    Usage:
      about

    Display info about the game engine.

Show your admin groups.

    Usage:
      @admingroups

    Lists the admin groups you belong to.

List staff members and their status.

    Usage:
      @staff          - List only online staff members
      @staff/all      - List all staff members (online and offline)

    Shows staff members in alphabetical order with their admin group
    and online status. Names are color-coded based on their admin group.

    Admin groups are color-coded as:
    - Sysop (Purple)
    - Security (Orange)
    - Builder (Yellow)
    - Tester (Brown)
    - Support (Green)

    This command is available to all players. Admin users
    see additional time information about each staff member,
    including connection time for online staff and last login
    time for offline staff.

show server time statistics

    Usage:
      time

    List Server time statistics such as uptime
    and the current time stamp.

show your current game access

    Usage:
      access

    This command shows you the permission hierarchy and
    which permission groups you are a member of.

Toggle AFK (Away From Keyboard) status with optional message.

    Usage:
        afk [<message>]
        afk/clear
        afk/default [<message>]

    This command allows you to mark yourself as away from keyboard.
    Other players will see an [AFK] prefix next to your name, and anyone
    who tries to page or tell you will receive an auto-reply with your
    AFK message.

    Examples:
        afk                          - Toggle AFK on/off
        afk grabbing coffee          - Set AFK with custom message
        afk/clear                    - Clear AFK status
        afk/default Be right back    - Set default AFK message for future use

    Notes:
        - AFK status shows in who list and room descriptions
        - Communication commands trigger auto-reply with your AFK message
        - AFK is automatically cleared when you perform active commands
        - Your AFK status is cleared when you log out

Attack a target in combat or initiate combat.

    Usage:
        attack <target>
        attack <target> with <weapon>
        attack <target> <location>  (called shot)

    Examples:
        attack thug
        attack corporate_guard with pistol
        attack gang_member head

Display your attributes and cyberware information.

    Usage:
      attributes
      attrs
      stats

    Shows your six primary attributes and their current values.
    Also displays your unlocked cyberware tier and information about
    attribute advancement through cyberware implants.

    NOTE: Attributes can only be increased through cyberware installation.
    You cannot directly spend XP to increase attributes.

Report a bug to staff.

    Usage:
      bug                    - Open multi-line editor for detailed bug report
      bug <description>      - Submit single-line bug report (legacy mode)

    Submit a bug report for technical issues you encounter in the game.
    Your report is automatically filed as a GitHub issue for staff to review.

    Using 'bug' without arguments opens a text editor where you can write
    a detailed, multi-line description. In the editor:
      :w  - Save and submit your report
      :q  - Quit without submitting
      :h  - Show full editor help

    Examples:
      bug                                              - Opens editor
      bug The combat system freezes with multiple foes - Quick single-line report

    Staff will review your bug report and work on a fix. You can track
    the status of your reports using the 'mytickets' command.

View the latest changes to the game.

    Usage:
      changelog [version]
      changelog/all

    View the recent changes to Chatsubo MUD. If a version is specified,
    shows changes for that version. Use /all to see the full changelog.

    Examples:
      changelog        - Show the latest changes
      changelog 1.2.0  - Show changes for version 1.2.0
      changelog/all    - Show all versions

Custom channels command with user-friendly display.

    Provides a clean channels listing for regular users without exposing
    technical details like IDs and locks, while maintaining full detail
    for administrative users.

    Usage:
        channels           - List subscribed channels
        channels/all       - List all available channels
        channels/sub <ch>  - Subscribe to a channel
        channels/unsub <ch> - Unsubscribe from channel

Display current combat status and information.

    Usage:
        combat
        cs

    Shows the current state of combat including turn order,
    health status of all combatants, and current round.

Start the character creation process.

    Usage:
        createchar

    Begins the guided character creation process where you'll
    choose your role and starting abilities.

Check your current NuYen balance.

    Usage:
      credits    - Show your current balance

Browse available cyberware implants.

    Usage:
      cyberware
      cyberware <tier>
      cyberware <attribute>
      cyberware <tier> <attribute>

    Shows cyberware available for your current level (tier).
    Attributes can only be increased through cyberware installation.

    Examples:
      cyberware              - Show all available cyberware
      cyberware 1            - Show tier 1 cyberware only
      cyberware intelligence - Show all intelligence cyberware
      cyberware 2 reflexes   - Show tier 2 reflex cyberware

    Attributes: intelligence, reflexes, cool, technical_ability, body, empathy

Take a defensive stance in combat.

    Usage:
        defend
        defend <ally>  (protect another)

    Taking a defensive stance increases your defense rating
    for the current combat round but prevents attacking.

Destroy items from your inventory.

    Usage:
        destroy <item>
        destroy/all
        destroy/all/confirm

    Examples:
        destroy stim pack       - Destroy a specific item
        destroy/all             - Show confirmation prompt
        destroy/all/confirm     - Destroy all items (requires confirm)

    WARNING: Destroyed items are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered!

Link your Discord account to your MUD character.

    Usage:
      discord/link    - Generate a verification code to link accounts
      discord/unlink  - Remove the link between your Discord and MUD accounts
      discord/status  - Check your current Discord linking status

    The linking process:
    1. Use 'discord/link' in the MUD to generate a verification code
    2. Go to Discord and TYPE the command: /link <your_username> <code>
    3. The bot will confirm your accounts are linked

    SECURITY WARNING: When you receive your code, you MUST type the /link
    command in Discord - DO NOT copy/paste it! Copy/pasting will reveal your
    secret linking code to everyone in the Discord channel.

    The verification code expires in 10 minutes for security.
    Once linked, you can send messages from Discord to MUD channels.

drop something

    Usage:
      drop <obj>

    Lets you drop an object from your inventory into the
    location you are currently in.

Drop all items from your inventory.

    Usage:
        dropall

    Drops all droppable items from your inventory to the ground.

Go east.

    Usage:
      e

    Move to the east.

Check your current status effects.

    Usage:
      effects    - Show your current effects

Request a new feature or enhancement.

    Usage:
      feature <description>    - Submit a single-line feature request
      feature                  - Open multi-line editor for detailed request

    Submit a feature request or suggest an improvement to the game.
    Your request is automatically filed as a GitHub issue for staff review.

    Editor Mode:
      When you run 'feature' without arguments, a multi-line editor opens.
      Editor commands:
        :w  - Save and submit your feature request
        :q  - Quit without submitting
        :h  - Show full editor help

    Examples:
      feature Add ability to trade items between players
      feature Implement vehicle customization system
      feature                  - Opens editor for detailed request

    Staff will review your suggestion and consider it for future updates.
    You can track the status using the 'mytickets' command.

Attempt to flee from combat.

    Usage:
        flee
        run

    Attempts to escape from combat by running through a random exit.
    Success depends on your reflexes and the situation. If successful,
    you'll automatically be moved to a random adjacent location.
    Failed attempts may leave you vulnerable to attack.

Manage your friends list and see online status.

    Usage:
      friends                    - List all your friends
      friends/add <name>         - Add a friend to your list
      friends/remove <name>      - Remove a friend from your list
      friends/online             - Show only online friends
      friends/who <name>         - Get detailed info about a friend
      friends/notify on|off      - Toggle friend login/logout notifications
      friends/clear              - Clear your entire friends list (confirms)

    The friends system lets you keep track of players you know and
    get notified when they come online or go offline.

    Examples:
      friends/add Alice
      friends/remove Bob
      friends/online
      friends/who Charlie

pick up something

    Usage:
      get <obj>

    Picks up an object from your location and puts it in your inventory.

give away something to someone

    Usage:
      give <inventory obj> <to||=> <target>

    Gives an item from your inventory to another person,
    placing it in their inventory.

Send message to gossip channel

    Usage:
        gossip <message>
        gos <message>

    Send a message to the gossip channel.

Check your current health status and any active recovery effects.

    Usage:
        health
        hp

    Shows your current health, maximum health, and any active status effects
    like resting or enhanced healing.

Get help.

    Usage:
      help
      help <topic, command or category>
      help <topic>/<subtopic>
      help <topic>/<subtopic>/<subsubtopic> ...

    Use the 'help' command alone to see an index of all help topics, organized
    by category. Some big topics may offer additional sub-topics.

Request assistance from staff.

    Usage:
      helpdesk <description>    - Submit a single-line help request
      helpdesk                  - Open multi-line editor for detailed request

    Submit a request for help or guidance from staff. This is for when you
    need immediate assistance, have questions, or encounter problems that
    aren't bugs.

    Editor Mode:
      When you run 'helpdesk' without arguments, a multi-line editor opens.
      Editor commands:
        :w  - Save and submit your help request
        :q  - Quit without submitting
        :h  - Show full editor help

    Examples:
      helpdesk How do I join a syndicate?
      helpdesk Lost access to my apartment, need help
      helpdesk                  - Opens editor for detailed request

    Staff members will be notified and will assist you as soon as possible.
    Track your request status using the 'mytickets' command.

Show player-level help commands.

    Usage:
      helpuser
      helpuser <topic>

    Shows commands and topics available to regular players.
    This excludes administrative and debug commands for a clean interface.

    Examples:
      helpuser           - List all player commands
      helpuser combat    - Get help on combat commands

Get progressive hints for the current area.

    Usage:
      hint [level]

    Without arguments, shows the first hint for the current area.
    With a level number (1, 2, 3), shows the specific hint level.

    Examples:
      hint      - Show the first hint
      hint 2    - Show the second hint (more detailed)
      hint 3    - Show the third hint (most detailed)

    Hints may be available in tutorial rooms, quest areas, and other
    special locations throughout the game.

view inventory

    Usage:
      inventory
      inv

    Shows your inventory.

View your inventory.

    Usage:
        items
        items/full

    Shows all items you are currently carrying.
    Use /full to see complete item descriptions.

    Note: This command uses 'items' instead of 'inventory' because
    Evennia's default inventory command cannot be reliably overridden.

Display level and XP information.

    Usage:
      level
      xp

    Shows your current level, XP phase, total XP earned, and XP needed
    for the next level. Also displays your progression through the
    current level phase.

look at location or object

    Usage:
      look
      look <obj>
      look *<account>

    Observes your location or objects in your vicinity.

Pick up items from the ground.

    Usage:
        loot
        loot/all
        loot <item>

    Examples:
        loot              - Pick up all items (same as loot/all)
        loot/all          - Pick up all items
        loot stim pack    - Pick up stim pack

    Aliases: take

Display the menu of available drinks and food.

    Usage:
      menu          - Show both drink and food menus
      menu drinks   - Show only drinks
      menu food     - Show only food

    View what's available at the bar. Prices are in NuYen.

View your submitted tickets.

    Usage:
      mytickets                  - View your open tickets (default)
      mytickets <number>         - View ticket by issue number
      mytickets <repo>#<number>  - View specific ticket from a repo
      mytickets/all              - View all tickets (open and closed)
      mytickets/bug              - View only bug reports
      mytickets/feature          - View only feature requests
      mytickets/helpdesk         - View only helpdesk tickets
      mytickets/open             - View only open tickets
      mytickets/closed           - View only closed tickets

    By default, shows only your open tickets. Use /all to see closed tickets too.
    Includes GitHub issue numbers and repository.

    Examples:
      mytickets                 - View your open tickets
      mytickets/all             - View all your tickets (open and closed)
      mytickets 5               - View issue #5 (searches all repos)
      mytickets owner/repo#5    - View issue #5 from specific repo

Go north.

    Usage:
      n

    Move to the north.

Send message to newbie channel

    Usage:
        newbie <message>
        newb <message>

    Send a message to the newbie help channel.

define a personal alias/nick by defining a string to
    match and replace it with another on the fly

    Usage:
      nick[/switches] <string> [= [replacement_string]]
      nick[/switches] <template> = <replacement_template>
      nick/delete <string> or number
      nicks

    Switches:
      inputline - replace on the inputline (default)
      object    - replace on object-lookup
      account   - replace on account-lookup
      list      - show all defined aliases (also "nicks" works)
      delete    - remove nick by index in /list
      clearall  - clear all nicks

    Examples:
      nick hi = say Hello, I'm Sarah!
      nick/object tom = the tall man
      nick build $1 $2 = create/drop $1;$2
      nick tell $1 $2=page $1=$2
      nick tm?$1=page tallman=$1
      nick tm\\=$1=page tallman=$1

    A 'nick' is a personal string replacement. Use $1, $2, ... to catch arguments.
    Put the last $-marker without an ending space to catch all remaining text. You
    can also use unix-glob matching for the left-hand side <string>:

        * - matches everything
        ? - matches 0 or 1 single characters
        [abcd] - matches these chars in any order
        [!abcd] - matches everything not among these chars
        \\= - escape literal '=' you want in your <string>

    Note that no objects are actually renamed or changed by this command - your nicks
    are only available to you. If you want to permanently add keywords to an object
    for everyone to use, you need build privileges and the alias command.

Order drinks or food from Ratz.

    Usage:
      order <item>     - Order a specific item
      order menu       - Show the menu

    Examples:
      order synthetic sake
      order synthnoodles
      order kirin

strike a pose

    Usage:
      pose <pose text>
      pose's <pose text>

    Example:
      pose is standing by the wall, smiling.
       -> others will see:
      Tom is standing by the wall, smiling.

    Describe an action being taken. The pose text will
    automatically begin with your name.

View and manage your quests.

    Usage:
      quests               - List all your quests
      quests <name>        - Show details of a specific quest
      quests abandon <name> - Abandon a quest

    A quest's status can be:
    |gCompleted|n  - You've finished the quest
    |yActive|n     - Quest is in progress
    |rFailed|n     - You've failed to complete the quest
    |wAbandoned|n  - You've given up on the quest

Review recent messages and communications.

    Usage:
      replay               - Show all recent messages
      replay <category>    - Show messages of specific type
      replay/clear         - Clear message history
      replay/config        - Adjust replay settings
      replay/size <num>    - Set history size (10-50)

    Categories:
      all     - All message types (default)
      say     - Say/whisper messages
      tell    - Private tell messages
      channel - Channel communications
      combat  - Combat messages
      quest   - Quest updates
      system  - System notifications

    Examples:
      replay
      replay tell
      replay/size 25
      replay/clear

Reset your own XP, level, and attributes back to starting values.

    Usage:
      resetme            - Show warning and instructions
      resetme/confirm    - Actually reset your character (requires /confirm)

    This command resets YOUR character back to level 1 with 0 experience
    points and base attribute values (5 for all stats, 100 for max health).

    WARNING: This action cannot be undone! Use with caution.

    The /confirm switch is required to prevent accidental resets.
    You have 30 seconds after seeing the warning to confirm.

Rest to recover health faster in safe areas and medical facilities.

    Usage:
        rest
        rest/stop

    This command allows you to rest in designated safe areas for enhanced healing.
    Medical facilities provide 5x healing rate and set your respawn point.
    Safe areas provide 3x healing rate.

    Moving to a different location or entering combat will interrupt your rest.
    Rest automatically ends when you reach full health.

Display your character role and abilities.

    Usage:
      role

    Shows your character's role, role description, unlocked abilities
    at your current level, and information about your next ability unlock.
    Roles provide unique special abilities as you level up.

Go south.

    Usage:
      s

    Move to the south.

speak as your character

    Usage:
      say <message>

    Talk to those in your current location.

describe yourself

    Usage:
      setdesc <description>

    Add a description to yourself. This
    will be visible to people when they
    look at you.

Display your comprehensive character sheet.

    Usage:
      sheet

    Shows your current level, XP progress, attributes, role, top skills,
    and cyberware tier unlocked. This provides a complete overview of your
    character's progression and capabilities.

View your pending error reports.

    Usage:
      showerrors           - View pending error reports
      showerrors/clear     - Clear all pending reports

    Shows error reports you saved with 'later' for future review.

Display your skills and skill progression.

    Usage:
      skills
      skills <category>
      skills <skill_name>

    Categories: combat, technical, social, survival

    Shows all 24 skills organized by category, with current level and XP
    progress. Skills advance through use-based learning - the more you
    use a skill successfully, the more it improves.

    Your maximum skill level is capped by your character level:
    - Levels 1-5: Max skill level 2
    - Levels 6-15: Max skill level 5
    - Levels 16-30: Max skill level 8
    - Levels 31+: Max skill level 10

View your current character status and attributes.

    Usage:
        status

    Shows a detailed overview of your character including level, experience,
    health, money, role, and other key attributes.

Toggle the status bar display on or off, or customize individual elements.

    Usage:
        statusbar on
        statusbar off
        statusbar elements
        statusbar toggle <element>
        statusbar reset

    Controls whether the cyberpunk status bar is displayed after commands,
    and allows customization of which elements are shown.

    Available elements: health, edge, nuyen, location, combat, weapon, quest

Teleport to Chatsubo Bar if stuck.

    Usage:
      stuck

    This command teleports you to the Chatsubo Bar, the main hub
    of the game. Use this if you're stuck in an area without exits
    or need to return to a known location.

    For testers: Use this when testing incomplete areas. No cooldown.
    For players: This has a 10-minute cooldown to prevent abuse.

    Note: Cannot be used during combat.

Manage your syndicate (organization).

    Usage:
      syndicate                  - Show your syndicate info
      syndicate create <name>=<type> - Create a new syndicate
      syndicate info             - Show detailed syndicate info
      syndicate desc <text>      - Set syndicate description
      syndicate motto <text>     - Set syndicate motto
      syndicate invite <player>  - Invite a player to join
      syndicate kick <player>    - Remove a player from syndicate
      syndicate promote <player>=<rank> - Change a player's rank
      syndicate transfer <player> - Transfer syndicate ownership (founders only)
      syndicate leave            - Leave your current syndicate
      syndicate disband          - Disband your syndicate (founders only)
      syndicate channel          - Toggle syndicate channel
      syndicate ranks            - List ranks in your syndicate
      syndicate apply <syndicate> - Apply to join a syndicate
      syndicate applications     - List pending applications
      syndicate accept <player>  - Accept an application
      syndicate reject <player>  - Reject an application
      syndicate list             - List all syndicates

    Syndicates are player organizations that provide benefits,
    communication channels, and structure for group activities.

    Available syndicate types:
      tech_ring    - A collective of netrunners and tech specialists
      street_gang  - A crew ruling the streets and territory
      corporate    - A division or project team within a corporation
      fixer_network - A network of fixers and information brokers
      merc_outfit  - Professional soldiers for hire

    When creating a syndicate, use: syndicate create "My Syndicate"=street_gang

Join a syndicate you've been invited to.

    Usage:
      syndicate join <name>

Talk to an NPC in your current location.

    Usage:
      talk <npc>              - Start conversation (show greeting)
      talk <npc> <message>    - Say something to NPC
      talk <npc> goodbye      - End conversation

    Examples:
      talk Ratz
      talk Ratz hello
      talk Viktor browse
      talk chrome doc what do you sell
      talk Ratz goodbye

    The talk command allows you to have conversations with NPCs. NPCs will
    respond based on keywords in your message. Try asking about specific
    topics or saying common words like "hello", "help", or "browse".

    Multi-word NPC names are supported - just use the NPC's full name.
    The command will also handle small typos in NPC names.

Call a HoverTaxi or manage fast travel.

    Usage:
      taxi              - Check if a taxi stand is nearby
      taxi list         - Show available destinations
      taxi go <dest>    - Travel to a destination
      taxi destinations - Show all discovered locations (alias for list)

    The HoverTaxi system provides fast travel between discovered locations
    throughout the city. Fare is based on distance traveled. You can only
    call a taxi from designated taxi stands.

    Examples:
      taxi list
      taxi go chatsubo
      taxi go ramen_stand

Send a private message to another player.

    Usage:
      tell <player> <message>

    Sends a private message to another player anywhere in the game.
    The message will be logged in both players' message history.

    Examples:
      tell alice Hey, how's it going?
      tell bob Are you ready for the mission?

Check the game time.

    Usage:
        time

    Shows the current in-game time and season.

Start or continue the tutorial.

    Usage:
      tutorial

    This command starts the tutorial if you haven't begun it yet,
    or takes you back to your current tutorial room if you've
    already started.

    The tutorial teaches you the basic commands and mechanics
    of Chatsubo MUD.

Go west.

    Usage:
      w

    Move to the west.

Wake up from unconsciousness or sleep.

    Usage:
        wake

    This command allows you to wake up from being unconscious.
    You can also use it to stop resting if you prefer 'wake' over 'rest stop'.

Whisper a private message to someone in the same room.

    Usage:
      whisper <player> <message>

    Sends a private message to another player in the same room.
    Only works if both you and the target are in the same location.
    The message will be logged in both players' message history.

    Examples:
      whisper alice This is a secret
      whisper bob Don't let them hear this

List who is currently online.

    Usage:
      who
      who/all    - show all players, even offline ones
      who <name> - show details about a specific player

    Shows all connected players and their permission level.
    For regular players, shows basic info like level, role and description.
    For staff, shows additional technical details including connection times.

Show your own info.

    Usage:
      whoami

    Shows detailed information about your account.

Respond to error report prompts.

    Usage:
      yes      - Report the error and optionally add details
      no       - Dismiss the error prompt
      later    - Save the error for later reporting

    When an error occurs, you'll be prompted to report it. Use these
    commands to respond to the prompt.

    After responding 'yes', you can add additional context about what
    you were doing when the error occurred.
